Designers Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstrle, cofounders of Broberg & Ridderstrle Design and Architecture, discovered the rhombus shape of the Romb Table Lamp when they were experimenting with rippled cardboard they use when modelling and developing architectural projects. They made the quadrilaterals in two sizes and stacked the larger hollow form on top of the smaller one so that downlight washes the bottom shape and up-light glows from the top.
