A Decade’s Old Dream Realized

Borne out of Charles’ and Eero Saarinen’s early investigations molding plywood at Cranbrook Academy in 1939, and continued with Ray at the Eames studio in Venice, California, the Molded Wood Side Chair realizes the Eameses’ decades-long effort to make a single-form wood shell chair.

Options

The Molded Wood Side Chair is available in white ash, walnut, and santos palisander, all of which pair with a range of base options that include wire, dowel leg, and 4-leg in a variety of finishes.
