Jean Prouv designed Tabouret Mtallique along with two other proposed models in metal in 1936 for the Maison dducation surveille de Saint-Maurice. The design elaborated in the Jean Prouv studios never actually went into production, but is now being manufactured by Vitra for the first time. The underframe made of bent sheet metal exhibits structural affinities with the later Trapze table.
Tabouret Mtallique is a practical stool that can also be used as a small side table.
