Patches of tonal whites and greys play out on a large-scale grid across Ksenia Sizaya’s “Tallinn.” Sizaya was inspired by frosty windows on a bright winter daya recurring theme in the artist’s work. Ksenia Sizaya is a Montreal-based artist who was trained in St. Petersburg, Russia, and completed her master’s degree in graphic art. Sizaya says her art is influenced by abstract expressionism and modernism. “I’ve always been a creative person, even as a small child. Design and art have always been a major part of my life.” The artist is inspired by city life imagery and the outdoors.
